PMP Europe's Surfacing division is leading the way in developing sustainable infrastructure for golf clubs.
Using the unique and class-leading Flexipave surfacing system, PMP Europe is helping courses to resurface their pathway networks using a material that is highly sustainable and low-maintenance.
Flexipave is a 50/50 bonded rubber and stone system that allows water to freely drain directly through it. This means that pathways will no longer become waterlogged in winter months, remaining clear and accessible. The rubber element also makes the surface excellent underfoot, offering superb grip, particularly for those wearing golfing footwear.
Even better, Flexipave uses rubber derived from recycled vehicle tyres, making it extremely environmentally friendly. Each square metre of material that we install utilises the equivalent of three tyres.
Before - Whitley Bay Golf Club pathway.
Muddy and dangerous due to the incline.
After - The new Flexipave path is clear and safe for all users.
The PMP Surfacing Golf Club Partnership Scheme is designed to give golf clubs the opportunity to resurface their pathway networks using the Flexipave surfacing system.
The three level scheme offers green keeping teams the opportunity to learn how to mix and install the Flexipave material, allowing them to resurface their own pathways at their own pace and within their own programme of works.

With the club occupying an elevated position, creating access to and from the course that wouldn’t be damaged during periods of poor weather was a priority. Additionally the club wanted a professional finish, enhancing the look of the course whilst being environmentally aware.
The path provided by PMP ticks all of those boxes and we are delighted with the result. It is an excellent addition to the club and has been very well received by members and visitors alike, both in terms of looks and the safety of players due to the grip provided by the surface, even in winter.
